Preparing a Mystery Skype activity…

Dear all,

We are two Portuguese teachers who teach Computer Science (Carla Jesus) and English (Teresa Saramago) in a small town not far from Lisbon, Caldas da Rainha.

The students who were chosen for this “Mystery Skype” belong to a vocational course, Sports, and their average age is 16 years old.

In the English class, we are studying the importance of learning English; therefore this activity would be of great value.

Concerning the activity, if possible, we would like to divide it into two different parts. First, the students would ask each other yes/no questions in order to guess the country. Afterwards, we would like to make a short presentation of our town, and you would do the same. We could use photos, maps, traditional objects, food, stories… Bearing in mind their ages, we think this would be funnier and more challenging.
