Bom ANO LETIVO!
Após a homologação do Perfil dos Alunos à saída da Escolaridade Obrigatória (PA) em julho de 2017, surgem agora as Aprendizagens Essenciais (AE) que, na minha opinião, se apresentam como indispensáveis para que cada professor, de qualquer área disciplinar, possa dar corpo ao preconizado no ano passado.
Estes dois documentos são uma pequena parte da transformação que se pretende fazer na forma como se ensina em Portugal, plasmada no Decreto-Lei n.º 55/2018 de 6 de julho, conhecida como Projeto de Autonomia e Flexibilidade Curricular (PAFC).
Este será o grande desafio para os próximos anos letivos pois, não basta passar a lecionar com base nas novas orientações, é preciso entender verdadeiramente o que significa passar de uma abordagem dos conteúdos pelos conteúdos para uma que significa conteúdos com aquisição de competências. Será preciso, sobretudo, saber articular as Aprendizagens Essenciais das diferentes disciplinas, através do trabalho colaborativo entre professores e alunos recorrendo, por exemplo, à Aprendizagem Baseada em Projetos.
No que diz respeito às AE da disciplina de Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC), são passíveis de serem articuladas com quaisquer outras disciplinas mas, enquanto a maioria dos responsáveis pela direção das escolas continuar a olhar para esta disciplina com pouca seriedade, atribuindo 45 minutos semanais ou, pasme-se, 25 minutos por ano em vez de 90 semestrais ou 90 anuais utilizando o tempo da disciplina da Oferta Complementar, os professores desta área continuarão a ter 10, 15, 20 turmas e, em alguns casos, até mais, pouco poderão fazer para impulsionar esta nova forma de ensinar na qual acredito profundamente.
After the ratification of the Students Profile at the end of Compulsory Schooling in July 2017, there are now Essential Learning Goals which, in my opinion, are indispensable for every teacher, of any subject area, to implement what was recommended last year.
These two documents are a small part of the transformation that is intended to be done in the way one teaches in Portugal, embodied in the Legislative Decree No. 55/2018 of July 6, known as the Project of Autonomy and Curricular Flexibility.
This will be the great challenge for the next school years, since it is not enough to start teaching on the basis of the new guidelines, we must really understand what it means to move from an approach of contents through contents to one that means contents with acquisition of competences. It will be necessary, above all, to articulate the Essential Learning Goals of the different subjects through collaborative work between teachers and students, for example, using the Project Based Learning (PBL).
As far as Essential Learning Goals of the Information Technology and Communication (ICT) are concerned, they can be articulated with any other subjects but, while the majority of those in charge of school management continue to look at this subject with little seriousness, (attributing 45 or sometimes an amazingly 25 weekly minutes per year instead of 90 per semester or 90 per year using the time of the Supplementary Offer, the teachers in this subject area will continue to have 10, 15, 20 classes and, in some cases, even more, therefore being unable to do much to foster this new way of teaching in which I deeply believe.
